Strengthening Global Readiness: Birders Lens Engages in Industry Capacity-Building Workshop with Ms Lorraine Simpson

Birders Lens was ably represented by Blessed Isaac Olupot at the “Be the Supplier International Agents Trust” workshop, a strategically led training facilitated by Ms. Lorraine Simpson, an internationally recognized travel expert, media personality, and consultant known for her deep experience in global travel trends, destination positioning, and agent readiness. Her practical, no-nonsense approach offered a wealth of clarity on how African operators can strengthen their global competitiveness.

The session delivered high-impact insights focused on aligning Ugandan tourism products with the expectations of the USA, UK, and Canadian markets. Core themes included pricing discipline, communication accuracy, packaging structure, and elevating service standards to match international booking norms. These principles directly reinforce Birders Lens’ mission to present Uganda as a world-class destination for birding, wildlife safaris, and authentic cultural experiences.

During the engagement, Blessed Isaac Olupot also had the opportunity to interact with fellow tour operators, accommodation owners, and other sector players. These industry exchanges underscored the importance of collaboration, mutual learning, and strengthening the professional ecosystem that drives sustainable tourism growth. The open dialogue highlighted a shared determination to elevate Uganda’s tourism brand collectively.

We extend our gratitude to the Uganda Tourism Board for sponsoring this impactful initiative and for their ongoing commitment to industry capacity-building. Their support continues to empower tourism professionals to raise the bar and compete effectively on the global stage.

Birders Lens remains committed to applying the insights gained, deepening industry partnerships, and advancing Uganda’s tourism narrative with confidence, clarity, and integrity.
