End of Year Reptile Studycation Wraps up in Style

The final edition of our Reptile Studycation Conservation Program closed on a high note, delivering yet another impactful learning experience and reinforcing our long-standing commitment to conservation education. With close to 25 participants from enthusiastic toddlers as young as two, to supportive parents, to long-time friends who have walked this journey with us the momentum behind our conservation message continues to scale up. This turnout underscores one truth: the community is aligning behind conservation, and the message is getting louder.

Our guide of the day, Shafik, set a strong foundation with a briefing before leading participants through the exhibits at the Uganda Reptiles Village, our trusted partner in delivering authentic, hands-on reptile education. Through engaging interactions with non-venomous snakes, tortoises, terrapins, and chameleons, participants gained deeper insight into species often clouded by myths. The partnership with Uganda Reptiles Village continues to be instrumental in turning learning into real impact.

We also recognized the unwavering partnership of Sera Wild Coffee, whose commitment to conservation goes beyond the cup. Their brand continues to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us in pushing environmental stewardship. As part of our appreciation culture, every participant received a 150g tin of Sera Wild Coffee in various roast profiles—an intentional gesture that aligns with our shared values of community empowerment and sustainability.

This edition further highlighted the strength of loyalty and teamwork. Old friends returned, first-time participants joined the movement, and our long-term partners demonstrated their consistency. These relationships form the backbone of the Studycation program.

To honor exemplary contributions, we celebrated our top three dedicated team members:

• Lawrence Lutaaya, our senior guide and the anchor of our reptile education efforts
• Shafik, rising through mentorship under Lawrence and now delivering exceptional field leadership
• Ochen Allan, the driving force behind the Studycation program across multiple editions

Their awards were presented by our Director, Joshua Ochen, in recognition of their outstanding commitment.

Certificates were awarded to all participants, followed by snack time and a celebratory cake-cutting moment. Group and individual photos captured the spirit of the day, with photography handled professionally by Mark Kyebambe, who is currently under mentorship and rising steadily in his craft.

We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our Founder and Director, Blessed Isaac Olupot, whose strategic foresight has shaped Studycation into the impactful conservation platform it is today. His leadership continues to steer this initiative with clarity and purpose.

As we close this chapter, we look forward to unveiling our 2026 Travel Calendar. With partners like Sera Wild Coffee and the Uganda Reptiles Village standing with us, we remain committed to raising the next generation of conservation champions—one program, one experience, and one young learner at a time.
