Uganda Martyrs Day: A Journey of Faith, Heritage, and the Spirit of Uganda

Every nation has moments in history that define its identity for generations. In Uganda, one of those moments lives on through the story of the Uganda Martyrs — young men whose courage and faith transformed the spiritual history of an entire nation.

Every year on June 3rd, Uganda pauses to remember the sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs, a group of Catholic and Anglican converts who were executed between 1885 and 1887 on the orders of Kabaka Mwanga II of Buganda.
